Start with the character's appearance
Open Create and choose from the categories and styles available to your account. Set an adult age, hair, eyes and the remaining appearance options.
Review those choices carefully. Ethnicity, hair, eyes and body type are fixed after creation; editable details include the character's age, personality, greeting and additional traits, subject to your plan's editing access.
Describe behavior rather than a string of adjectives
Give the character a way to act under pressure, an interest they can talk about and a reason to know you. Keep their background and the opening scene consistent.
Review the fields before sharing
- Personality holds the character's behavior, background and relationships.
- Greeting is the first message in the conversation.
- Author Comments are notes for people viewing the profile.
- Visible to public? controls whether you want the companion shared. Public submissions go through review.
Test one change in a short conversation
If you describe a character as cautious, give them an uncertain choice. If they are meant to be witty, write a line that invites a joke. Revise the behavior you can actually observe instead of stacking more adjectives onto the profile.
